We are currently open for submissions of
Novellas: Up to 30,000 words
Short Stories: Up to 10,000 words
Non-Fiction Shorts: Up to 30,000 words, focused on a single topic
Submissions will be open until 18th February 2025
AI-generated works will not be considered. Please don’t even try. We value authentic human creativity and original storytelling and have undergone extensive training to be able to spot it.
Previously published works (including self-published material) are not eligible at this time.
Windows coming soon: children’s books and poetry.
Our zines and magazines are currently produced in house and we are not currently accepting pitches.

Submissions must include the following:A short author bio (up to 150 words).
The complete manuscript OR a detailed pitch/outline with a writing sample of at least 2,500 words.
File format: Please submit all files in .docx or PDF format.
Subject line: Use the format: [Your Name] – [Title of Work] – [Category]
Our reading period is up to three months from the submission window’s closing date. If you have not heard from us after this time, you are welcome to follow up.

All authors will receive a modest advance of £100. We will not request for this to be ‘earned out.
We offer a standard royalty rate of 30% on net sales, well above the industry average, as part of our commitment to empowering authors and valuing their creative work.

We recommend using a standard manuscript format for ease of reading.
We accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
We aim to respond to all submissions with a decision, whether successful or not within three months, as part of our commitment to transparency and respect for the work authors share with us. If you have not heard from us after three months, please feel free to follow up.
